Yep, we've got sticky filters, saved filters, etc in the planning stages.
Right now the best thing to do is to middle click on a row to open in a new tab which will leave the grid filtered.

The rates widget is ordered by date.
Can you describe a bit more about what you're looking for on special rates in your scenario and how that would match with a date ordering?

That's a good question. The search box up top is a full text search like Google so it decides which partial matches to find and looks for words, so half a name won't always come up.
