Two parts to this HIGHLY needed feature request:
1) Be able to set a Maximum amount that the guest can pay by credit card.
My credit card processor will not allow me to accept payments of $5,000 or more. I imagine that ALL processor accounts have SOME type of limit, whether you are aware of it or not. In MY case, my asinine processor will NOT accept a payment of $5,000 or more. What they WILL do is put the payment on hold for a review for a few days, CHARGE ME the processing fee (!!!!!!) and then CANCEL the payment. Then they REFUSE to refund the processing fee, for a payment that they never provided! (Cost me $350 to learn this!! It is unbelievable that such legal robbery is allowed in today's financial world (yes, the stupid service agreement that we are forced to sign with them ALLOWS them to do this!).
(Please don't tell me to look for another credit card provider. In my experience they are all just legalized thieves, and as a 'foreign national' operating my VR business in a country where I am not a resident, my options are highly limited.)
2) Be able to add Custom Instructions to the Credit Card Payment Form.
We should be able to add custom wording to the instructions that customers see on their credit card form. For example, instructions requesting the guest NOT submit a payment in excess of $4500.00 (as per above situation) or any other such information that the owner wants to provide to the guest.
In many cases, credit card processors require certain verbiage on their credit card forms, and Custom Instructions would allow for this. An example is; "This payment will show as XXXX on your statement. XXXX is a vacation rental provider that operates out of Orlando, FL, 33896 USA."
This would be a simple thing to implement. Come on OR, and OR users. Please add your voice to this request, and OR... please implement immediately.

Thanks, but this is not what I'm after.
The instructions you refer to above appear at the top of ALL payment submissions. My objective is instructions for ONLY credit card payments, in order to avoid confusion. (If a guest can screw up something or misunderstand it, they will. That's just an unfortunate fact of life.)
There are specific instructions that appear on the form for Payment by Check or Payment via Bank Wire Transfer (Other in Payment types.). The instructions are entered into the system when the operator selects those types of payments as being accepted. The instructions are not under Form Messages, but instead attached to the setup of the payment type.
I'm after a similar type of instructions, which would appear when the guest selects 'Pay now by Credit Card'.
While I can add verbiage about the maximum payment amount at the top of the form, as you suggest, it requires, longer more in-depth instructions, lest the guest think that it applies to them while paying by check or bank wire transfer, because it specifically does NOT apply to those types of payments.
Logic and clarity suggests that verbiage at the top of the form should apply to ALL uses of it, while instructions for a particular payment type only show when that type is selected, as it does now with the other two.
Yes, this is being specific, but specificity makes for good interface design, prevents errors, and saves time for everyone.
