What's on the OwnerRez roadmap?

I know lots of companies don't like to share what they are working on....but you guys seem pretty open about those things. I know that channels have been taking up most of your development time over the past few months, and I just thought I'd see if you wanted to comment on what's next in the pipeline, what's coming later this year, etc. Is there a priority list of upgrades/features? And, understanding that dates are extremely variable, especially when it comes to software rollouts, can you share any timelines?

I was thinking IPO 😊

We do share our roadmap but only with the context and understanding that the roadmap is not fixed and changes frequently. The current (closest) items are:

- HomeAway API (nearly done, watching last pilot users, etc)
- Auto-release for security deposits
- PM updates
- QB updates
- QoL ("quality of life" smoothening for a bunch of small things)
- Door lock updates (adding Kaba, supporting RemoteLock's newer API)

After that:

- SMS (templates and trigers)
- Housekeeping module

Sounds good. Does the "smoothening" include:
Multiple (N) payments and/or "Simplified quotes" (merging amounts and removing details - like the option in the quote widget)

After manually inputting all my lock codes for this year I look forward to multi-lock support!
SMS and Housekeeping are also on my wishlist.

Can't wait for the updates.

Can we get an update to these roadmap items? It's been a few months ...

I'm also curious about:
- is a task/reminder system is in the queue? Something to allow scheduling or specific things like changing humidifier filters every 3 months?
- any hope for report automation? Such as scheduled email reports that can be sent to a distribution list showing useful info, like all scheduled bookings for next 45 days, or ytd payments taken, etc.

In reality, what does it have to do with vacation rental reservations software? Put it on your google calendar....

In the same way as scheduling cleaners. He wants the ability to manage the VRs from the VR software, as much as possible.

Well how far one can take this... remind oneself to water grass, pay electric bill too?

when we talk multi lock, will that also mean multi e-rentallock?

sounds like good things to add. These might be part of the things that a handyman/cleaner would do

We're working on the door lock updates now (new RemoteLock API, Kaba, PointCentral). And yes, @BlueMtnCabins, we're also adding multi lock support for all of them :-D

Also working on the PM/QB/QoL updates now as well. Then the SMS and Housekeeping are next once we complete the current set of items.

Just looking at it. Amazing price for 3rd gen, on amazon. $229 for example. But not sure if it can handle check-in and check out times. There is smart lock and then there is a vacation rental smart lock...

sometimes simpler is better when it comes to VRs. techno gizmos can be cool and great and all that, but are u in business of testing new cool gadgets or you are in VR business? if latter, maybe consider option that already tried /tested/works in VR situation. I gather there are several already VR-proven locks that OR already integrates with, maybe pick one of those and call it a day>?
