Hi,
I was working on an OwnerRez-hosted website for Palm Wave Stays. Palm Wave Stays has short-term rental units spread across the US. We have noticed that all the rental units are shown on the sub-menu under the Properties menu. We believe that a large number of rental units spread across multiple locations, it is detrimental to user experience and we wanted to group the properties by location, like the following:
Properties
-- Chicago >
- Rental-unit-1
- Rental-unit-2
-- Florida >
- Rental-unit-3
- Rental-unit-4
It would be very helpful if OwnerRez had such customization options for the menus of its hosted websites.
Yes, in fact, you can do this right now, using Property Tags! Here's how:
I have tried your proposed solution, but it did not solve our problem. Perhaps I could not express our problem properly the last time. Let me try again:
We do not want to show all the properties directly under the ‘Properties’ nav menu item. Instead, we want to have a sub-menu that contains the locations. Then, each location sub-menu item will have another sub-menu that contains the properties for that location.
Thanks for giving Kens proposed solution a try, currently the system already has the ability to handle basic sub menus for the site menu. This can be done by clicking on the "Menu Layout" button for any given hosted site,
Once on this page you can drag and indent page names under each other to create simple sub menus. I don't believe this satisfies exactly what you're looking for, but I wanted to make sure everyone was aware of it while discussion continued for this feature request.
