NEARBY PLACES & ACTIVITIES: WE NEED MORE OPTIONS FOR "TYPE" ON THE DROP DOWN MENU

Did you know that Denver is the smallest city in the country with 5 major professional sports teams - Denver Broncos football, Denver Nuggets basketball, Colorado Rockies baseball, Colorado Avalanche hockey and Colorado Rapids soccer?   

Well, I was setting up my hosted website and it is dissappointing to see that you do not have "sports Venue" as a type.  Can OwnerRez put an "other Venue" Option or "Attraction Venue" or heck even call it, "Event Venue" or "Social Venue" but currently I have no way of listing these key places for those visiting Denver. 

You put alot in terms of transportation, but how about giving us, "Attraction" or just "Other" :(. 

WAIT, I just realized, it doesn't even show up on the actual website, :(

SO WHAT TO VOTE FOR:

1. Include Nearby Places & Activities on the Hosted Website
2. Allow for more "Type" Options or create an "OTHER" option to cover things like sports venues and others not covered under the current options.

Our lists of these options are based on what is offered by the major listing channels.  It wouldn't do much good for us to add a new one that isn't used anywhere else.

Of course it would. Independent operation at the highest level should always be the goal... not following the listing sites around like a good puppy dog who doesn't know any better.

Not all of us get the majority of bookings through listing sites. Our own sites and management systems come first. And if 'Listing Site Independence' is the goal (and it should be if anyone wants a profitable business) what the OTAs do should be secondary to providing the best experience and customer service directly to our guests.

If our PMS is doing its job, the needs of OTA listings and inquiries will be fully covered within the PMS's own scope. But the scope of the PMS should never be limited by what the OTA's do.

One can lead, or one can follow. Think bigger.
