Our Channel Management feature is extremely powerful and can greatly simplify your channel advertising. Learn how it works by reading our Channel Management Overview article. The most powerful part of our Channel Management is the API Integrations we have with certain channel partners.
Once you have an API integration connected, new bookings will come through that channel automatically. Each channel handles existing bookings differently, though. Some will import bookings automatically, some you must manually setup. This article walks through the differences and recommended setup for each channel.
Blocked-off Time
Many channels can bring in bookings as outlined below, but no channel connections will bring in blocked-off time you created on the channel before you connected it to OwnerRez. Make sure to create any blocks that you need in OwnerRez before connecting the channel API because the availability will be overwritten with what is in OwnerRez.
Vrbo
Vrbo doesn't currently provide any reservation information for historical bookings through the API, so everything must be populated manually.
If you were not previously integrated via Vrbo API with a different PMS, import the dates via our iCal import tool and use our Channel Bridge tool to populate guest info and charges and payments.
Who collects the final payment for a pre-API booking after you've become Vrbo API-connected? If Vrbo was processing your bookings prior to your Vrbo API integration, Vrbo will also process your pre-API-connected bookings, and you should bring that information in through the channel bridge process.
If you were previously integrated via Vrbo API with a different PMS, Channel Bridge will not be able to access the booking info. Instead, create a booking import file in Excel and import it.
Airbnb
When you connect an Airbnb API connection, all current and future bookings, including charges and guest contact information, will be imported. All past bookings, including charges, but not guest information beyond their name, will also be imported into the calendar.
All guests, reviews, and messages will also be imported. This will happen in the background after connection, so if you have many bookings, it may take an hour or more to load them all.
All new Airbnb API connections have Transaction Sync automatically enabled. If you are using Transaction Sync, payment and resolution information is automatically imported into OwnerRez, and the Channel Bridge tool is prevented from updating it.
If you have not yet enabled the Transaction Sync, payment and resolution information is not automatically imported. To populate that information, use our Channel Bridge tool. This will download payments and resolutions and merge them with the information populated via API.
Booking.com
When you connect the Booking.com API connection, any current or future bookings will be imported with their charges. This will happen in the background after connection, so it may take an hour to load them all if you have many bookings.
Historical bookings aren't accessible and payment info isn't provided either -- any updates for those items will need to be done manually. If there are many historical bookings you need to import, create a booking import file in Excel and import it.
TripAdvisor
When you connect the TripAdvisor API connection, all existing bookings will be imported including charges and payments. This will happen in the background after connection, so it may take an hour to load them all if you have many bookings.
FloridaRentals
FloridaRentals sends inquiries, so there may not be any existing bookings on the site to import. If there are bookings, create a booking import file in Excel and import it, or import the dates via our iCal import tool. The Excel import will allow you to populate more information, while the iCal import is easy but will only pull in the blocked dates.
